Kůlna Jedovnice

Kůlna is a brilliant venue not far from Brno, hidden in the middle of the Jedovnice woods. At Kůlna they pay attention to every single detail, and it really does look fantastic there. A beautiful, modern building put up in Scandinavian style. What is more, the whole site was built precisely for celebrations and weddings.

I know Kůlna well, I have photographed several weddings there and I am one of their recommended photographers. The site lies in the middle of the woods, so you do not have to worry about the neighbours or about how loud the music is, and the outdoor party can run long into the night. It is pleasant there in every season and you have lovely little spots for photos right on the doorstep.

The Kůlna staff have the organisation of weddings down to a fine art, and you can get a date here on a Tuesday, a Thursday or a Saturday. The marquee holds the reception for up to 100 people, 27 guests can sleep right at Kůlna, and accommodation for the rest is easy to find in nearby Jedovnice.

You do not have to travel anywhere for the portraits: the photography works beautifully right on the site, in the meadow, in the woods and by the nearby ponds. And if you are hesitating over a date, autumn is gorgeous here.

Benátky 214

For couples about to marry it offers a newly renovated barn in Vranov nad Dyjí, where they can enjoy peace, privacy and a romantic atmosphere. Add to that a beautiful view of the Vranov chateau and a new guesthouse. Guests will feel comfortable here all day long. There is the option of an outdoor ceremony with the chateau right in view.

They can put the wedding reception together exactly the way you imagine it, they will prepare a served menu, a buffet, a barbecue and a sweet bar. They are glad to help with the decorations, with the choice of tried and tested suppliers, with the music and with the programme for the whole day.

Kocanda Kravsko

Kocanda is the prototype of a great wedding venue, one that is missing practically nothing, and I love going back there. I have been through more than 5 weddings there and they were always brilliant celebrations!

For the reception there is either the baroque hall, which holds 40 to 80 guests, or the industrial hall, which comfortably seats up to 120 guests. I would single out the industrial hall in particular, it really is very pleasant and cosy. The accommodation capacity is great too, 180 beds.

The site also includes an extensive garden with a small lake, which in combination with the historic buildings can serve your photo session brilliantly. That saves you a lot of time spent driving around.

Stodola Suška Kravsko

Stodola Suška is one of the iconic wedding venues in South Moravia and it really is in high demand. And no wonder, a tastefully renovated barn which, thanks to its large windows, offers a beautifully light-filled space. Besides the aesthetic advantages of Stodola Suška, though, there are the practical ones too, namely plenty of room for the ceremony, the reception and the evening party. Up to 150 guests fit into the barn without any trouble, as I have seen for myself.

If you were looking for Stodola Suška on a map, you would find it not far from the small village of Kravsko in the Znojmo area. About 2 kilometres from Suška itself there is also the option of arranging accommodation on the Kocanda site, and that for all of the wedding guests. If you want a wedding in South Moravia, this is where you can plan it on a grand scale down to the last detail.

Vinařství Thaya

Vinařství Thaya is a new, absolutely unique venue by the Austrian border in the Znojmo area. It sits among the vineyards not far from the Podyjí national park. The winery also includes an adjoining hotel.

Hájenka pod větrníky u Znojma

Hájenka pod větrníky, which lies not far from Znojmo, was approved for use in 2020. It is therefore a modern building, not only ecological but actually self-sufficient and emission free, and wood dominates throughout.

Up to 120 of your nearest and dearest can celebrate your big day with you if you decide on the outdoor terrace. The function room comfortably seats 50 wedding guests and up to 80 people fit into the wine cellar.

As if that were not enough, you can enjoy some fun in the water in the indoor pool, do a spot of fishing in the adjoining pond, refresh yourselves in the wine cellar, and the braver of your nearest and dearest can „take a shot“ at the shooting range.

Right on the spot, up to 33 guests can stay overnight with you after a day and night of partying, in six rooms in total. If that were not enough, we can also offer a hotel nearby.

Stodola pod Lesem Jezeřany-Maršovice

A brand new wedding venue which has been running since 2023. I even have personal experience of it, because in July 2023 I was best man at the wedding of a great friend of mine there. At the time it was only about the fourth wedding in the barn, but even then the staff had everything brilliantly under control.

Stodola pod lesem really does lie at the edge of the woods, far from the bustle of everyday life. At the same time it is in a very easily reachable spot between Pohořelice and Moravský Krumlov.

The venue holds up to 100 wedding guests, and up to 20 of them can sleep over in a nearby guesthouse.

The icing on the cake is that the surroundings hold several beautiful spots both for the ceremony and for the newlyweds' photo session. That saves you heaps of time spent driving around and you will enjoy the whole day with your closest people far more.

Vinařský dům Tilia

Vinařství TILIA in Oblekovice near Znojmo is a new wedding venue set in beautiful countryside below Načeratický kopec. It brings together the atmosphere of a historic sandstone cellar, the vineyards and modern facilities, which creates a genuinely distinctive backdrop for a wedding day.

The space holds roughly 70 guests, and around 4 to 5 people can be accommodated on the site. The dominant feature of the venue is the authentic cellar with its stone vaults and pleasant coolness, which gives the wedding the unique atmosphere of South Moravia. Thanks to the surrounding vineyards and the quiet position on the edge of the village, it makes an ideal setting for an intimate yet stylish wedding full of ease.

From your very first steps across the courtyard a very pleasant, family atmosphere breathes over you. And that is no accident. This is a family business in which the winemaking tradition has been handed down for generations. All of it is underlined by the fact that even the fruit, the vegetables and the meat you will get to enjoy at the reception are the real thing, home grown. And as we know well, nothing compares to those.

Vinařství Obelisk Valtice

Are you fans of wine and gorgeous views? In that case Vinařství Obelisk in Valtice was made just for you! Pálava is a huge favourite of mine and Obelisk cast its spell on me right after my first visit.

Obelisk sits very close to the Austrian border on a gentle hill, it is surrounded by vineyards and offers a gorgeous and somewhat unusual view of the Pálava hills. The atmosphere of the place really is unique and the interiors are very well done in terms of design too. The site is enormous, but at the same time completely fenced in and separated from other buildings, which means you avoid any potential trouble with disturbing the peace at night. On top of that, Obelisk holds up to 150 wedding guests.

Another big advantage of Obelisk is the fact that the ceremony itself can take place right on the main lawn a few metres from the wedding table. For lovely couple photos there is no need to travel anywhere, everything can be managed on the site.

Villa Daniela Úvaly

If I had to name one venue that very pleasantly surprised me in 2022, it would be Villa Daniela. I have the feeling that they generally really know how to do weddings around Valtice. At the Villa they are brilliantly prepared for weddings, the reception can hold up to 80 wedding guests. The site also offers accommodation, so you will not have to make any complicated journeys anywhere.

If you want to put all the worries connected with arranging your big day out of your head, nothing is easier than leaving the organisation from A to Z to Villa Daniela. The overall experience is then certainly underlined by the look of the whole site, which is furnished very tastefully and at the same time traditionally. You definitely will not go wrong by choosing this venue for your wedding reception. Quite the opposite. I am convinced that you will fall in love with it and will happily keep coming back to the Lednice and Valtice area.

Vinařství U Kapličky Zaječí

A wedding among the vineyards with a view of the landmark of South Moravia, Pálava. If that is exactly what should sum up your wedding, Vinařství U Kapličky is the right one for you. Besides the beautiful panoramas, the extensive complex beyond the village of Zaječí offers a great deal more. The wedding ceremony can be held in at least three different spots, with a dry weather back-up in the cellar spaces. A wedding inside the winery has no less magic than one outdoors, though.

You can comfortably accommodate all of your wedding guests here, and you will all enjoy the party until morning without arranging complicated transport. And the newlyweds' wedding photos? The site itself offers interesting little corners, and you will certainly melt over the surrounding landscape with the Pavlovské vrchy hills and the Nové Mlýny reservoirs in the background.

Vinařství Sonberk

Vinařství Sonberk is one of the loveliest venues for a wedding reception in the Břeclav district. Its great location works in its favour, in the little village of Popice, which lies at the foot of the picturesque Pálava. The Nové Mlýny reservoir is only a few hundred metres away, so you can enjoy the sight of its sparkling surface or set off on a romantic boat trip. And should that somehow not be enough for you, then know that immediately behind Sonberk there are gorgeous vineyards. All of these scenes are ideal for the newlyweds' photo session.

You will certainly appreciate as well that Vinařství Sonberk can not only get you the best wines of South Moravia, but will happily put on an expert tasting of them for you too. Great fun, don't you think?

The indoor spaces hold 50 people. If you are a fan of weddings under the open sky, then you can rest easy, because the capacity is unlimited. There is also a gorgeous terrace.

Vinařství Židek

Vinařství Žídek in Popice near Pálava offers a more intimate wedding setting in a picturesque wine growing landscape. It is placed in a quiet spot not far from Pálava, which makes it an ideal choice for couples who want a wedding with wine and nature and without the hectic bustle of the city.

A hall for roughly 50 people has newly been built in the winery, and there is also outdoor seating by the barbecue and a quiet garden suitable, for instance, for the ceremony.

Accommodation is not a dominant part of the picture, so the venue is better suited to smaller weddings which do not need large capacity accommodation facilities.

Ambrožův dvůr

Ambrožův dvůr in Pouzdřany is a beautiful and peaceful historic wedding venue set in the heart of South Moravia. KD Velké Bílovice

Are you looking for a spacious venue for a larger wedding in South Moravia and at the same time want your uncle from northern Bohemia to get there easily? Then nothing is simpler than to recommend the culture house in Velké Bílovice to you.

The culture house in Velké Bílovice has been renovated and its new „facelift“ has really come off well. The capacity is truly enormous, it holds more than 600 people. Bílovice is the heart of South Moravia, so there will be no shortage of choice when it comes to a spot for the wedding photos. I can recommend Hradištěk to you, for instance.

Vinařský dům Dominant Rakvice

Dominant is another of my favourite venues in South Moravia. I have photographed a wedding here several times over and it was always great. The venue has a big advantage in its accommodation capacity, which holds more than 100 people. It is therefore one of the few South Moravian wedding venues where you can manage absolutely everything, from the preparations right through to the accommodation.

Besides tastings of its home produced wines, Dominant has both small spaces (for 30 people) and large ones, which hold up to 180 wedding guests. And everything is very nicely renovated and furnished.

Another advantage is the location of Rakvice itself not far from the motorway, which makes arriving at the reception easier for all the guests. Hotel Dominant Rakvice is an ideal mix of beautiful spaces, easy access, picturesque panoramas, superb wines from the local vineyards and much more. Simply everything you want to have at a wedding.

Stodola Vinařství Pod Kumstátem Krumvíř

The newly created barn in Krumvíř in the Břeclav area will win you over with its atmosphere. The venue was built and is run by Vinařství Pod Kumstátem on the edge of the village. Although the barn has not even been in operation for 2 years, it is enjoying great popularity and interest. In the area in question it is practically the only wedding venue of this type. Another advantage is the winery's enormous adjoining cellar, which serves brilliantly as back-up space with the option of tastings.

Vodní mlýn Nejdek

The Liechtenstein mill from the 18th century not far from Lednice in South Moravia is a lesser known but all the more interesting wedding venue. The mill offers an enormous site dominated by an arm of the river Dyje. You can set the wedding table in the main function room at the core of the mill, which leads straight onto a gorgeous terrace raised above the water. You can set the wedding ceremony at the magical confluence of two smaller watercourses, which lies on the site roughly 200 metres from the mill building.

You can also accommodate up to 40 wedding guests at the mill. The habitable period caravan on the mill grounds is worth a mention too. It is definitely not a five star hotel, but it can be an all the more interesting way to spend your wedding night.

Usedlost Na Stovce

Usedlost Na Stovce is a new wedding venue in the very heart of the Lednice and Valtice area. If you are looking for the perfect secluded spot where nobody will disturb you, Usedlost Na Stovce is ideal for you! At the same time the Usedlost lies not far from Tři Grácie and right by the shores of the Hlohovec ponds.

As far as the parameters of the venue go, it is great that accommodation for up to 36 people is available right on the spot, up in the attic. The rooms are of a very good standard and even from a photographer's point of view I have to say that they photograph brilliantly. The Usedlost Na Stovce site itself holds a wedding of around 100 people without any trouble. You can hold the ceremony right on the site, so you do not have to travel anywhere during the whole wedding. The indoor spaces are big enough and in bad weather they hold those 100 people too.

For the portrait session there is no need to travel anywhere. The surroundings of the Usedlost are photogenic and really all you need is to plan a walk around the building.

Hotel Lotrinský Velké Pavlovice

The elegant four star Hotel Lotrinský in Velké Pavlovice sits right in the heart of South Moravia and offers a luxurious setting for a wedding day. Včelařský dvůr Lednice

Včelařský dvůr in Lednice offers a cosy and stylish setting for a wedding close to wine scented South Moravia. It lies in a quiet part of the Lednice and Valtice area and so creates a pleasant contrast between nature and a festive atmosphere.

The space includes a garden pavilion suitable for a reception or celebration, and it also works as a full guesthouse with the option of accommodation, the rooms open onto the garden and most of them have a terrace or a balcony.

The capacity for wedding guests is given as up to around 70 to 80 people for the pavilion, and rather fewer in the restaurant (around 40 to 50).

Thanks to the combination of pleasant accommodation, a garden with a terrace and a flexible space, the venue suits couples looking for a stylish yet unforced celebration with a feeling of home comfort.

Kraví Hora Bořetice

At first glance everyone is struck by the local colourful little houses, which are the typical symbol of this hotel. But it is not only about them. A wedding on this site can be very varied, partly thanks to the fact that all the spaces can be nicely linked together. That way you can enjoy the morning preparations, the ceremony, the reception and the evening party in one place without stress.

But what would a wedding in South Moravia be without a glass of wine? Especially when there are such beautiful vineyards near the Kraví hora Bořetice hotel, positively inviting you to take photos. Nearby you will also find the Kobylské vrchy hills and the iconic lookout tower.

Ovčí Terasy Němčičky

Ovčí Terasy is 10 minutes from my house and we love driving over there whenever it is possible. It is a place with a great atmosphere and divine cooking!

The main draw is the quiet, undisturbed setting on the edge of the woods with a gorgeous view towards nearby Němčičky and Bořetice. Besides the main building (a restaurant plus 14 double rooms), the extensive site also holds a large barn with seating, glamping tents, a children's playground, an orchard and plenty of farm animals which you can go and visit. For the wedding portraits there is no need to go far. you will manage them easily on the farm site, all it takes is a simple walk around the area, where you can make use of the orchard, the animals or the adjoining woods.

If you are considering a wedding at Ovčí Terasy, do not hesitate to visit the farm and see the great atmosphere for yourselves. In the main season the farm is open practically every weekday and the barn is self service

Mlýn Sedlec

Vinařství Spielberg Archlebov

Would you love to have a wedding in sunny Tuscany but do not want to travel that far? Then nothing is simpler than to hold the celebration near Kyjov, that is, at the Spielberg winery in Archlebov.

On the spot you can quite happily start with the ceremony. There is, for instance, a terrace with a view of Archlebov framed by the local vineyards and the Kyjov highlands. The second option is the adjoining, peaceful garden. And the covered Crystal Hall is certainly not to be thrown away either.

After all, it is precisely the Crystal Hall that, thanks to its capacity of up to 250 people, is used most often for wedding receptions. And we must not forget the guided wine tasting either. Vinné sklepy Skalák

Skalák has grown close to my heart. I have photographed weddings there in just about every condition. You can have the ceremony inside the entrance hall, in the vineyard or in the garden. For the reception you can then choose the vaulted cellar with a capacity of up to 110 people or the lounge with a capacity of 40 to 50 people and direct access to the garden.

Whether it is tropical heat outside or deep below zero, you will always feel good at Skalák. Besides the indoor spaces there are of course enormous outdoor ones available as well.

There are 29 rooms for your guests right at the winery. What is more, throughout your wedding you will have the very pleasant and capable coordinator Lucia (2025) present, who keeps the weddings at Skalák under her watch.

Hatěcký mlýn

Do you dream of a rather smaller wedding in traditional style? Then Hatěcký mlýn will certainly catch your interest.

You might well take a liking to the function room furnished in the traditional Slovácko style. The covered terrace with its beautiful view of the pond and the surrounding meadows will please you too. It is precisely thanks to such a setting and such ease that you can easily carry yourselves away from the everyday rush and enjoy your big day all the more. And that is not all. The local scenery will also create a great atmosphere for your newlywed photos, for which you will not have to travel anywhere far, so you will spend more time with your loved ones and friends.

Penzion mezi vinohrady Hovorany

Penzion Mezi vinohrady is a new wedding venue set in the quiet landscape of South Moravia. A huge advantage is the fact that the guesthouse is completely on its own out in the country. It includes 3 rooms for up to 12 people staying over. What is more, the building of further rooms is planned. Right in front of the guesthouse there is a large pergola which fits around 50 people. You can take photos right in the meadow by the guesthouse.

Kůlna Jedovnice

Kůlna is a brilliant venue not far from Brno, hidden in the middle of the Jedovnice woods. At Kůlna they pay attention to every single detail, and it really does look fantastic there. A beautiful, modern building put up in Scandinavian style. What is more, the whole site was built precisely for celebrations and weddings. With its capacity it holds up to 100 wedding guests and 27 guests will find a bed here.

Although Kůlna spreads out not far from the metropolis of South Moravia, you can forget the noise and rush of the big city completely. You will be surrounded here by gorgeous woods, ponds and meadows. On top of that you will remain completely undisturbed.

I know Kůlna well, I have photographed several weddings there and I am one of their recommended photographers. The site lies in the middle of the woods, so you do not have to worry about the neighbours or about how loud the music is, and the outdoor party can run long into the night. With its capacity it handles even a wedding for 100 people. It is pleasant there in every season and you have lovely little spots for photos right on the doorstep.

U srubu Újezd u Boskovic

This picturesque site provides an ideal setting for weddings in any season. The indoor spaces are suitable for intimate weddings of up to 60 people, while in the summer months the outdoor part can accommodate up to 100 guests. Accommodation with 32 beds and up to 4 extra beds is available for guests.

The site guarantees privacy for the guests with its enclosed space and offers a restaurant with its own kitchen, outdoor seating with a pergola and a dance floor. A meadow is ready for the ceremonies. Children can make use of the sandpit and the toys, while more active guests can make use of the 2 tennis courts.

In short, a site out on its own surrounded by animals and nature. What more could you wish for!

Stodola Rudice

The site dates from the nineteenth century and has recently gone through a very successful renovation aimed precisely at weddings. The whole site will be at your disposal, that is the barn, the farmstead, the wine cellar, the adjoining meadows and even the pool.

So in one place you can experience not only the reception but also the ceremony and even the newlyweds' photo session. Not far from the barn stands the little chapel of Saint Barbara, which will give your photos a unique arrangement. That saves you a lot of time, which you can spend celebrating your big day with your closest people.

When we add to that the fact that the total capacity is 60 wedding guests, up to a third of whom can sleep right on the spot, then we can say without beating about the bush that the barn in Rudice offers an all-inclusive wedding! Statek Samsara Blansko

Samsara is a gorgeous wedding venue north of Brno not far from Blansko. Samsara is practically cut off from the rest of civilisation and the nature around it is literally gorgeous! A huge advantage is the fact that there is no need to travel far for the wedding portraits, the surroundings of Samsara alone are amply enough for 2 or even 3 sets of portraits. The farmstead holds a medium sized as well as a large wedding and it is no problem to accommodate the majority of people right there. The cooking at the farmstead is absolutely outstanding, so you do not have to fear for your svíčková. The reception can be held both outdoors and indoors, and the same goes for the ceremony. The complete wedding can therefore take place on the Samsara site, which makes it an ideal wedding venue.

Hlídka Špilberk

Hlídka Špilberk is without doubt one of the loveliest and most versatile wedding venues in the South Moravian Region. Several things work in its favour. It is located in the middle of Brno, yet it is set in a quiet spot surrounded by nature, which on top of that has an adjoining castle with a beautiful view over the whole of Brno and its surroundings.

You do not have to travel far for the newlywed photo session either. Rather the opposite. There are so many romantic views in the immediate surroundings that you will not know where to have your photos taken first.

The indoor spaces are gorgeous too, and up to 70 people fit into them. The garden with a little fountain, which will tastefully round off your wedding, will certainly conjure up a smile on your face as well. All together, up to 150 wedding guests can live through your big day with you.

Sleeping over is then usually arranged at the Hotel International 200 metres away, reached by a romantic walk through a small park.

Kadlcův mlýn Mariánské údolí

A wedding in nature, but still with good access within Brno? That is Kadlcův mlýn in the setting of Mariánské údolí not far from Líšeň in Brno (Brno-východ). Mariánské údolí is a popular walking spot for a large part of the people of Brno. It is easy to reach by public transport, surrounded by beautiful woods and reservoirs. What is more, both of those can serve brilliantly as a place for your wedding portraits.

Kadlcův mlýn is an enclosed site for weddings in any weather. In the guesthouse there are beds for up to 30 wedding guests, a lounge for up to 50 people and above all a large outdoor area with a pergola, a bar and a barbecue with a capacity of up to 60 people. You can comfortably hold the wedding ceremony right on the extensive lawn on the mill site. The positive news is that the owners rent the mill out for a whole weekend (Friday to Sunday) and in general they take a very obliging approach to holding weddings.

Kamjinam Brno

Kamjinam is located on the edge of Bystrc in Brno, so it has great access and at the same time the noise of the big city will not bother you.

Kamjinam is also a modern and at the same time naturally furnished venue dominated above all by wood and the greenery around it. The overall impression is heightened and completed by the view of the Žebětín pond and the surrounding woods.

You are certainly interested in the capacities too. I think that here as well I will please you. The covered pergola holds up to 120 guests. If you were nevertheless worried about bad weather, then you can find refuge in the indoor restaurant, in which 50 wedding guests comfortably take their seats.

Stodola v meruňkovém sadu

The barn, built primarily for the purpose of holding weddings, is located in an extensive apricot orchard, which at the same time serves as the main ceremony spot and as a potential backdrop for the couple's portrait session. Both the exterior and the interior of the barn build on wooden beams surrounded by walls with exposed brickwork, from the outside it looks elegant, inside it feels cosy. Believe me, you will feel really good there. The staff work very professionally and you can see that they are ready for any conditions. During my last shoot in the apricot orchard it started pouring with rain right in the middle of the ceremony, to which the barn staff responded by hurriedly putting up large marquees right above the seated wedding guests.

If you are looking for a barn not far from Brno, you cannot go wrong with Stodola v meruňkovém sadu. It holds even large weddings of 120 wedding guests. A small minus, though, is the absence of accommodation at the wedding venue, so count on having to arrange transport for your wedding guests.

Samota Karlov Dolní Kounice

Samota Karlov, a space as if made for an undisturbed wedding in South Moravia. A big advantage of the space is that the wedding can comfortably take place in one place. Samota Karlov has plenty of outdoor and indoor space at its disposal, which is a plus in any weather. On top of that the whole site is really enormous and separated from the noise around it. It is ideal for weekend weddings.

The adjoining orchard is as if made for the wedding ceremony, and the barn holds the wedding reception without any trouble. At the same time it is furnished simply, so every bride can choose the wedding decorations exactly to her own taste. Right at Samota Karlov there is accommodation for 35 people, but it is no problem to make use of further capacity nearby.

Sklep na vyhlídce

Sklep na vyhlídce in Moravské Bránice is a great venue for holding wedding receptions, since it combines a modern setting, a specialisation in putting on weddings, beautiful panoramas, flexible capacity and refined gastronomy.

Whether you are planning a small or a large wedding, you certainly will not go wrong with Sklep na vyhlídce. There is a wine cellar with a capacity of 60 people. 120 guests will comfortably entertain themselves in the covered outdoor part and you will find up to 200 places on the outdoor terrace. The atmosphere will then be completed for you by the views of the picturesque Pálava. Those, by the way, can also serve brilliantly for the newlywed photo session.

If you would rather leave the worries of dreaming up a wedding in the hands of experts, they are at your disposal in that as well, since they offer the planning and organisation of a wedding from A to Z. In my opinion nothing is simpler than having peace of mind, simply enjoying the wedding and leaving the stress to someone else.

Chata Babí lom

Chata Babí lom is a picturesque wedding venue in the middle of the woods, just a short way from Brno, which offers a unique atmosphere far (and yet close) from the noise of the city. Thanks to its cosy interior with a capacity of up to 70 people and accommodation for 18 guests in four rooms, it is ideal for medium sized weddings. In good weather, though, it is no problem to hold larger outdoor weddings as well. What is more, you can enjoy a night here in three stylish treehouses, which hold up to 10 people and give your stay a touch of adventure.

The venue is rented out for three days (two nights), so you have plenty of time for the preparations and for a calm celebration without needless rush. The woodland surroundings and the natural scenery create gorgeous backdrops for wedding photographs, and the whole space feels authentic and distinctive. Chata Babí lom is a unique location which stands out for its character and for a magic that you will not easily find in South Moravia.

Stodola Žítková

Stodola Žítková is a magical venue set in the gorgeous countryside of the Bílé Karpaty, a short way beyond the border of South Moravia. The site is extensive and feels relaxed, ideal for couples who want a wedding in a natural, slightly „punk“ style with a rhythm of its own.

Accommodation here takes a looser form, besides a few fixed beds you can also sleep in tents right on the site, which gives the place the unmistakable atmosphere of a summer festival. Stodola Žítková is ideal for couples who are looking for freedom, nature and an informal approach to the whole wedding day.

Na Srubu

If you are planning to spend your wedding together with your closest people surrounded by beautiful nature, then the newly opened wedding venue Na Srubu is the right choice for you. It is located in Břestek not far from Uherské Hradiště, roughly an hour's journey from Brno.

You can rent the log cabin for yourselves and your wedding guests for a full 3 days (2 nights). Right at the cabin you can accommodate 20 people, and another 16 beds are then available in the apartment opposite. Thanks to that, Na Srubu is an ideal wedding venue for easy-going weekend weddings, which you can spice up for your wedding guests with, say, a hike up to the nearby Buchlov castle. At Na Srubu you will have a wedding exactly your own way. The manager will gladly advise you with the planning and, if needed, recommend tried and tested suppliers.

Panský dvůr Kunovice

If you want to put on an elegant wedding in South Moravia, then head for Panský Dvůr Kunovice near Uherské Hradiště. For the reception, the function hall with vaulted ceilings is as if made for it, and the owners will decorate it for you according to your wishes. You can also make use of the extensive courtyard of the Panský Dvůr. That works brilliantly for group photos and for throwing the wedding bouquet.

The whole site has a very pleasant atmosphere and lies only a few minutes' journey from beautiful nature, which is definitely an advantage for you and for the wedding photographer. So there is certainly no danger of you being away from the wedding party for several hours because of the hunt for the perfect location. In this setting the couple photos almost take themselves.

Svatba na rybníku

Svatba na rybníku is a perfect secluded venue not far from Uherské Hradiště. As the name suggests, the complex of buildings is located right next to the adjoining pond.

A big advantage is the fact that you can hold the whole wedding right on the spot, which also offers accommodation. The barn offers the option of seating up to 70 wedding guests. You can hold the ceremony right on the edge of the pond by the gazebo, which is roughly 150 metres from the main building.

Penzion Buchlovský Dvůr

Right below Buchlov castle, among gorgeous meadows, sits Penzion Buchlovice. The whole guesthouse site is enclosed and offers perfect privacy. It also includes a beautiful little pond with a photogenic gazebo. As the name suggests, Penzion Buchlovice offers accommodation too, so you can enjoy the atmosphere of your whole big day in one place. You can set the ceremony indoors in the lounge, in the garden or in the gorgeous meadow a few dozen metres below the guesthouse. An advantage for colder weather is the large covered pergola for the wedding table with a capacity of up to 75 people.

For ideas for wedding photo spots there is no need to go far. The already mentioned meadow below the guesthouse serves brilliantly, or else the adjoining Buchlov castle, the woods, or the apricot orchard in nearby Buchlovice.

Hotel Buchlov

Hotel Buchlov is located in the heart of Moravian Slovácko, right next to Buchlov castle. It offers accommodation for up to 87 wedding guests and a complete wedding service in one place, the ceremony, the reception, the catering and the parking.

For weddings there is a newly renovated medieval stable block with a capacity of 160 people, which has kept the original atmosphere of a barn while at the same time providing the comfort of a modern restaurant. The ceremony can be held in the meadow, in the hotel courtyard or in the covered spaces. For lovers of unusual experiences there is even the option of saying „yes“ in a hot air balloon. The surrounding landscape, Buchlov castle and the chateau park offer gorgeous spots for the wedding photos. An experienced team will take care of everything so that your day goes without stress.

Oranžerie Habrovany

Oranžerie Habrovany is a fairly unique, fresh venue in our parts, which combines originality and elegance. On top of that the venue is practically new, very easy to reach from Brno along the D1 motorway, and it is located on a very lovely site.

The ceremony, the reception and the photo session can all take place right in the Oranžerie and the adjoining chateau park. You can also take photos by the chateau pond, for instance, which lies right next to the Oranžerie.

Pístovický mlýn

Pístovický mlýn has gone through an extensive renovation and since May 2024 it has been fully operational as a guesthouse with a restaurant, an ideal choice for a wedding in a quiet natural setting in the area around Brno.

The wedding spaces include the main hall with a capacity of up to 80 people, a terrace for around 50 people and a restaurant, also for around 50 guests.

Accommodation is possible right on the site, the guesthouse has 11 rooms (including a wedding suite with a hot tub and a view of the pond) and a capacity for around 25 people.

What is more, the site is placed on the bank of a pond in the Drahanská vrchovina highlands, which gives the celebration an authentic atmosphere of nature, calm and privacy, ideal for couples who are looking for a place away from the main tourist routes.

This hotel with great access lies not far from Vyškov, close to the motorway exit. So you can call your whole family together for your big day and everyone will get to you easily.

The hotel has a full 69 places to sleep. So nobody will have to get into the car at half past two to head home, quite the opposite, they can celebrate with you until morning! And that, for instance, in the hotel wine cellar.

Pohoda Nárameč

A gorgeous modern complex built out on its own not far from Třebíč. When you drive through the village of Nárameč, the Pohoda guesthouse is really the last thing you would expect in a place like that. All the better was the impression I had of it when I photographed my first wedding at Pohoda. The setting is surrounded by gorgeous coniferous woods and ponds and the atmosphere of the whole place really is unique. The guesthouse can arrange complete facilities for your wedding including accommodation for all the guests. Among the advantages of the guesthouse are, besides other things, an outdoor pool, a large car park and a children's playground where the children can let off steam.

I would certainly single out the helpfulness and professionalism of the representatives of the guesthouse. They are very glad to accommodate your ideas about your wedding, whether it is a wedding in the meadow behind the guesthouse, inside a party marquee or in the nearby church.

Mohelenský dvůr

Are you after a rural, traditional, lovely and welcoming venue for your wedding reception? Then I can definitely recommend Mohelenský Dvůr to you. The key thing is definitely the fact that you can hold the complete wedding on one site. At first glance from the street it is not entirely obvious, but the site is big enough for a wedding of 100 people, and on top of that it is brilliantly and logically laid out. The spot for the wedding reception is right at the beginning, followed by a courtyard with access to the accommodation, then a grassed garden for the ceremony, at the end of which stands a smaller house, ideal for the bride's preparations. For photos you can drive out, for instance, to the nearby steppes, which are literally 3 minutes away by car. Personally I am very fond of Mohelenský dvůr!

What may catch your interest in particular are the traditional decorations of the interior in the form of tasteful wooden panelling and a fireplace stove, which, once completed with the wedding decorations, mix up a unique atmosphere! What is more, the outdoor spaces are decorated with traditional objects too, such as wooden wheels, stacks of straw, pebbles or barrels. Thanks to all these little things you will feel as if you were in another century, which will make your wedding an unforgettable experience.

Farma Tasov

One of those places I really love going back to. A modern farm on an extensive site on the divide between the South Moravian Region and Vysočina. That is Farma Tasov. It has to be said that the picturesque landscape with the gorgeous coniferous woods around the farm is already more the domain of the second of those regions, but that can make it an all the more interesting break from the wine growing setting of South Moravia.

Farma Tasov is a large complex of buildings for small, medium and large weddings up to a capacity of 200 wedding guests. It offers 45 beds for accommodation and lies 3 kilometres from the D1 motorway with excellent access to Brno (50 km / 35 minutes). On the extensive site you will find a pond, woods, a meadow and farm animals. You can say your yes right at the Farma, but if you prefer more traditional ceremonies, you can be married in the nearby church.

Dalešický pivovar

A wedding at a winery is a common thing these days, but how about a wedding at a brewery? In the words of one of my newlyweds it sounds clear: „I am neither a believer nor a prince, to be married in a church or at a chateau, we will get married in a brewery.“ And why not? The Dalešice brewery is famous for the well known film Postřižiny, which took place in the brewery. The brewery building itself has a historic feel and atmosphere. A big advantage is the option of holding the whole wedding in one place. An extensive brewery garden belongs to the building and it serves as the ceremony spot (in bad weather a historic barn is available too). The brewery hall will be at your disposal for the wedding reception, which the staff from Dalešice will prepare for you. The property also offers accommodation for up to 55 people.

From my own experience I can really recommend the Dalešice brewery. If you are considering it as your wedding venue, do not hesitate to visit it on any day of the week. I believe you will fall in love with it!

Dvůr Honětice

Beautiful, originally furnished spaces close to nature, reminiscent of our grandmothers' villages. That is Dvůr Honětice, a great venue for wedding receptions.

Besides the charming indoor spaces, which hold thirty six guests, there is also a small terrace with an outdoor bar with a capacity of up to one hundred and sixty wedding guests. Right next to it you will find a little clearing and even a small pool to cool off in. I believe that not only the children will welcome it, but plenty of the adults too. The site also includes a farm with piglets, sheep, cows, goats and horses. All of that will give you an unusual atmosphere both for your big day and for the newlywed photo session.

And you will certainly appreciate as well that Dvůr Honětice also includes a guesthouse and a campsite, in which more than thirty people can comfortably sleep. That saves you a lot of worry over arranging places to stay. I definitely recommend this place in the middle of nature to you for your reception. It brings together many excellent touches, and with them it will perfectly polish off your wedding.

Dohnalův mlýn

If you are looking for a venue for your wedding reception that would be in the middle of beautiful nature and thanks to which you would completely forget the rush of the city, then with a clear conscience I recommend Dohnalův mlýn to you. It is strategically placed near the small village of Zástřizly with very good access, since it lies halfway between Slavkov u Brna and Uherské Hradiště, or between Kroměříž and Kyjov. So you can invite family from far and wide to the wedding and everyone will travel to you easily.

The mill itself is surrounded on one side by woods and on the other by fields, and there is no shortage of a little pond and grazing sheep either. The building has been left in its original, traditional form, which easily carries you back to the days of our grandmothers. As far as capacity goes, there is a barn into which 70 guests fit. If you are planning a bigger wedding, make use of the mill, into which up to 170 wedding guests fit. Sleeping over right at the mill can then be arranged for 8 to 12 people. The rest of the party can either sleep out under the stars or in one of the many hotels or guesthouses in the surrounding area.

Větrný mlýn Kunkovice

If planning a wedding for a hundred guests is not for you, try to find a place where you will enjoy your day in the company of your witnesses alone. One such place is Větrný mlýn Kunkovice, a building a few hundred metres from the small village of the same name, on a hillock in the middle of the fields. It is a historic building, but it has gone through a sensitive renovation and it can be rented together with the grounds. Up to 8 people can be accommodated here without any trouble.

So you will not experience a big wedding here, but definitely an unforgettable one. The surrounding landscape of the nature reserve and the mill itself have a distinctive magic of their own, which will certainly delight not only the wedding photographer.
